DP-IR System Components

This chapter describes the features of the DP-IR. Please refer to Figure 2 for illustrations of

individual parts.

Instrument

This is the primary component of the DP-IR surveying system. In addition to the gas detection

capability, it contains the user interface, data logging interfaces, power connector and the

surveying probe connection.

Carrying Strap

The DP-IR has a detachable hand strap secured to three mounting points on the instrument.

There is also a padded shoulder strap to accommodate different carrying preferences.

Battery Charger

The battery charger is provided to recharge the instrument after use. The charger is a universal

110 - 240 VAC, 50/60 hertz with a charging indicator. Universal adaptors are provided to convert

the style plug for different types of receptacles.
