Hydrophobic lter

Maintenance

In order to maintain the DP-IR in good working condition, the following maintenance should be

performed as indicated:

Maintenance Item Frequency

Self-Test and Calibration Daily to ensure the instrument is

functioning properly

Battery recharge Recharge to full capacity after each use

Replace dust lter Daily or more often as needed depending on

conditions

**Note**

There is a hydrophobic lter inside the front cap behind the dust lter. Replace this lter should

it clog due to water or dust. There is a back up hydrophobic lter inside the instrument housing

to prevent water damage to the instrument. The exterior lters should be changed as needed by

the user.

**Note**

Do not operate the instrument without the dust lter or without the hydrophobic lter.

**Warning**

To reduce the risk of ignition of a ammable or explosive atmosphere, batteries

must be changed or recharged only in a location known to be non-hazardous.

**Caution**

Only use HEATH battery pack P/N 102961-0.
